Hello!

Thank you for your interest in our Learn to Skate Workshop! We’re excited that you’re considering joining us for this fun and rewarding experience.

Our 4-week Learn to Skate Workshop, led by U.S. National Champion Gracey Meyer, is designed for children, teens, and adults who are brand new to skating or simply want to improve their skills and confidence.

Throughout the program, participants progress through four interactive learning modules that teach the fundamentals of roller skating in a safe, encouraging, and exciting environment. From learning how to balance and glide to stopping, turning, and skating independently, every lesson is designed to help skaters succeed while having fun!

Here are a few things you can look forward to:

🎟 Every registered participant receives a FREE Admission Pass to any of our public skating sessions so they can continue practicing outside of class.

Workshop Information

  • $48 Per Person for the 4-Week Workshop Program.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class for check-in and skate fitting.
  • Doors open at 9:45 AM.
  • Parents are welcome to participate on skates or watch from the sidelines for just $1 per workshop.
  • Can’t attend every week? We also offer a Drop-In Workshop for $15 per skater.

We truly believe that every great skater starts with a single roll, and we’d love to help you or your child begin that journey with us.

Practice Schedule – Starts October 5th, 2026 at 5:30 pm @Kentwood =>

Monday @5:30-7:00 pm @ Kentwood

Thursday @6:00-8:00 pm @ Kentwood

Saturday @9:00-11:00 am @Kentwood

Now recruiting new skaters for the 26-27 season to join our Team. Since we have consistently exceeded the leagues expectations regarding attendance, it give us the first opportunity in 15 years to host a Speed Meet at our Kentwood location. Our team even won a deserving 1st place trophy overall and continues to compete in every age group with amazing results !Inline speed skating is fast, competitive, and demanding for athletes of all ages.

Cost : $10 per lesson
Coach Fee: $60 per month

The Grand Raggidy Roller Derby is proud to be one of only 30 founding member leagues of the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) since its inception in 2005. The WFTDA has since grown to be the international governing body for the sport with over 440 member and apprentice leagues located globally.
