Carrie Redman

Director of Sales, Marketing, & Innovation
Founder of The Skatertainment Company

Carrie’s lifelong dedication to the roller skating industry began at just five years old at this very rink. A former champion artistic roller skater, she spent her childhood immersed in competitions and working alongside her parents, who managed skating rinks across Grand Rapids, Michigan. With a lifetime of experience in the entertainment industry, Carrie brings unparalleled knowledge and expertise to the field.

As a former Director of Operations, she successfully developed new programs and
initiatives that boosted value and sales. Carrie also founded The Skatertainment Company, which offers live character shows on skates and conducts Skate Training Workshops. Recently, she launched her own brand of sparkly boot covers, showcasing her creativity and passion for the sport.

Now leading Sales and Marketing at GR Skate and Event Center, Carrie combines her love for skating, enthusiasm, and entertainment expertise. Her passion for the sport has inspired her family, with her grandkids competing as inline speed skaters across the Great Lake States.

In 2022, Carrie extended her commitment to helping others by co-founding the non-profit G.O.L.D. Foundation (Give Out Love Daily) with her daughter and friend, partnering with local organizations to support families and children in need.

Carrie’s impact on the roller skating industry and her community is truly remarkable. With her vision, dedication, and passion, she continues to inspire others, ensuring that skating remains a vibrant and cherished part of life for generations to come.

Kate Leep

Sales and Event Specialist

Kate’s extensive experience in both the entertainment and customer service industries highlights her dedication and passion for creating positive experiences. Having been in the entertainment sector since 2007 and with a strong background in customer service since 1997, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a natural ability to connect with people. Her love of music, particularly as a wedding coordinator and karaoke host for 17 years, allows her to share that passion with others in a meaningful way.

Her role at GR Skate and Event Center seems like the perfect fit for her combining her love for music, her experience in event coordination, and her genuine desire to help people. Outside of work, Kate is a devoted mother who balances her professional life with her family responsibilities. She also has a deep passion for animals, caring for a variety of them on her small hobby farm. This aspect of her life further reflects her nurturing and hardworking nature, as she manages the demands of both family and farm with dedication. Her love for animals and commitment to her family showcase her caring spirit and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with grace.
